Bernie enjoys green sand casting because after initial investment, sand can be used over and over.

Since 2002 Bernie's main focus has been making one abstract sculpture for each language in Papua New Guinea.  There are 810 documented languages and so far he has created 480.

But on occasion he will make a one off- i.e. Phoenix Rising.

He has worked for Mr. Seward Johnson's Atelier (studio) since 2001.
